Abstract

The uprising changes in mobility behaviour towards less car ownership, along with developments in e-mobility cause various difficulties for urban stakeholders such as parking space providers. The paper provides an approach how these challenges can be addressed with innovative services and underlying business models for integrated urban mobility infrastructures. One of the main outcomes of this work is a scenario consisting of three service concepts addressing e-mobility. The service concepts are arranged around a process model for energy flow related to electric vehicles. Concepts range from improved parking and charging infrastructure to approaches for the local generation and delivery of electricity. For each concept, more specific examples are given along with business models. Finally, a discussion about technological and adoption challenges of the service concepts is made.
