Abstract

Innovation is a key to the competitiveness of the European Industry. Ideation is considered as the first and very important stage of the innovation process and is oriented towards the discovery of ideas. Games can be considered to do the same, which leads to the suggestion to apply games in the ideation process. Players of such games are presented with information they have to interpret and interact with following the objective to identify new and valuable ideas. This paper presents the results of using the same gaming scenario in two different user groups- one homogenous and one inhomogeneous. It discusses the differences and how these can be reduced.
