The use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and Internet-enabled technologies in supply chain management (SCM) operations is considered to be one of the primary contributors for improving supply chain performance,as companies aretrying to gain and keep their competitiveness to meet the rising demand from consumers for higher quality products at competitive prices. The objective of this paper is threefold: i) to identify the ICT applications used in fresh produce supply chain management, ii) to describe the factors influencing the adoption of ICT, and iii) to provide a comparative assessment on the adoption and use of ICT in fresh produce supply chain management between Europe (United Kingdom, Germany and Greece) and China.
