Abstract

This paper aims to present a concept for an evaluation Infrastructure for the Validation of Service Innovations in the early innovation phase. Generally the early innovation phase is still very critical because decisions need to be taken if a product or service shall be further developed in the later phase or not. Due to the importance in Europe service innovations will be highlighted. They represent an business opportunity for various industry areas in Europe. Service innovations can be supported in different ways when considering the collaboration opportunities available today. Furthermore the evaluation infrastructure is outlined. An overview shows that a variety of tolls is suggested to do the evaluation and three of the tools are discussed in more detail. Some conclusions summarise the paper.
